Grilled Salmon - True Perfection

A perfect grilled Salmon steak in a Resturant costs a fortune - here is my recipe for a special home dinner 🙂

Ingredients Grilled Salmon - True Perfection

Before starting to cook, prepare the ingredients first. Here are the ingredients that must be prepared to make Grilled Salmon - True Perfection :

  1. 400 gr the best salmon you can get (or afford - I am lucky here salmon cheap and good)

  2. 2 Tbls Dark soft brown sugar

  3. 1/2 teaspoon Salt

  4. 1 Lime or 1/2 Lemon

  5. 1 Tbls Olive Oil

  6. 1 Sprig Dill

Steps Grilled Salmon - True Perfection

After all the ingredients are ready, it's time to start cooking. Here are the steps for cooking Grilled Salmon - True Perfection:

  1. Trim the Salmon Steak and place skin side down - sprinkle the Salt & sugar on the meat side and cover - put in fridge for about 6 hours.

  2. Removed from the fridge and let it come to room temp - about 30-40 mins. Then turn on the grill so red hot

  3. Wash off the marinade and pat dry with kitchen paper

  4. I make a foil try on a baking sheet so easy to clean. Drizzle with olive oil the place skin side up. Sprinkle more salt on the skin and rub in.

  5. Put under the grill for 2 mins until the skin slightly blisters. take out from under the grill and carefully take off the skin. You can now throw it away or cut in half and place next to the salmon so it turns crispy and serve with the fish (very Asian Style - Optional)

  6. Squeeze a lime over the salmon and 1 tbsp olive oil and place back under the grill for 2-3 mins for medium and 4-5 for well done.

  7. Remove from the grill and rest - as I use foil I fold over to trip the moisture and leave it for 2-4 mins. Then serve with a sprig of Dill and Line wedge - PERFECT 🙂
